Today was another great day on our short family trip to the mountains.
We got up and gave the girls baths in the jacuzzi tub. Then we met Bill Black at the Gatlinburg Craftsman’s Fair. Bill is the head of Smoky Mountain Resort Ministries. I worked with him for two years after college. It was great to see him and get an update on the ministry there.
We had lunch at the Brass Lantern then stopped at The Happy Hiker before heading up the mountain. We hiked to Arch Rock on the Alum Cave Trail. It is 1.4 miles one way. The girls did really great. They asked how much longer several times but overall had a good time. It was fun to share hiking with them. They counted the log bridges along the way. They quickly fell asleep as drove on to Bryson City to visit family.
