When the alarm went off this am I thought I better check and see if any of those flurries from last night stuck. Sure enough we a good white dusting covering some ice. I turned off the rest of the alarm clocks and went back to sleep. No school for us!
Everyone slept in til around 7:30. Anabel was the first one in my room. She came in so excited and said, “it’s Christmas!” I tried to explain that just because it snowed didn’t mean it was Christmas but she kept saying it. Then she would say, “can’t you believe it?” At one point in my trying to explain simple snow, she said, “was I supposed to stay in my room so you could surprise me, mommy?”
